Drawing surface has a clip to hold paper in place and also lifts up in several different angles and can make an upright easle. It also has a light, a drawer, side cubbies and a small chair. My son was 6 when I got if for him. Purchased for close to $100. The light isn't working but it could need batteries or a new bulb. I haven't investigated the cause. My son doesn't use it anymore and it's just taking up space and collecting dust. Would make a great birthday, Christmas or "just because" gift for an artsy child.
