I wanted to take a moment and thank all of you that came out, helped
promote and just supported the "Darkest Dreams a Lighted Way"
(www.ddalw.com) Exhibition on July 11, 2008. The turnout was
absolutely amazing! We had around 150+ people come though the event.
This was the first show I have ever done as a director and curator
and I was very pleased with the whole experience and will be making
this event annual.

Darkest Dreams a Lighted Way Art Show Fights Against Abuse at St. Louis Venue.

Saint Louis, MO April 21, 2008 � Darkest Dreams a Lighted Way Art Show showcasing local and national artists, including Celebrity Artist Michael Bell have found a home for their first annual art show at Fort Condo � Compound for the Arts in St. Louis.

The all media art show features works by 18 artists from Missouri, Illinois, California, North Carolina, Texas, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Florida, Michigan, and Washington DC. Each artist uses their particular medium to portray abuse in any form, from the physical, emotional, mental, and sexual, to include topics of neglect and mental anguish. Participating in the event is Celebrity Artist Michael Bell whose works are featured and collected by some of the most recognizable Hollywood stars including those from HBO's The Soprano's.

Artist and Metro East resident Aunia Kahn, creator and curator of the show, describes the intense need for awareness of the difficult subject matter as an insight into the atypical release artists face as they express some of their deepest motivations, feelings and their own personal contact with the subject matter portrayed through their work.

I would like both sides with grafitti, covering as much of the vehicle as POSSIBLE with something creative that contains the name/concept of the business. Someone could start START ASAP, however currently there isn't a SET DEADLINE AT THE MOMENT. The RV is parked outside here near Westport plaza. We don't have a garage, but we can find shade. Once the RV has grafitti, it will remained parked at a major intersection 24/7 or the majority of time. In other words, it's more of a static visual (mostly not driven) as opposed to something that is IN CONSTANT MOTION. If that helps with any ideas. However it will be driven to various outdoor public events (concerts, the lake, sporting events, etc) One idea that I initially had was to use a combination of fake leaves and grafitti, to make it look like a "LIVE GREEN" type vehicle that had vegetation actually growing on it. Sort of like a mobiule greenhouse. Again, just a crazy idea of mine. I have no idea of how to pull that one off. Let me know. Thanks Ajmense

Welcome the summer with great new art from three local artists this Saturday evening. Craig Downs, Cindy Royal and Steve Truesdell will display new works at 5146 Daggett Avenue on "the Hill". This venue is part of SKIF International and is located at the corner of Daggett and Marconi. Our Summer Solstice opening will be from 7:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Saturday the 21st. Stop by to see new cool art, hear the sounds of "Box of Nerves" and Chris Johnson, and enjoy some complimentary snacks and drinks. It's the big summer kick-off! See you there.

i have a project in the works for my band "Seeing Seven"

we are looking for local artist/designers to design some shirts/buttons/hats/stickers for us. This will be a great way for you to get your name out there for your work.

we are a touring band who has sold albums in 6 different countries including North America, Europe, and Australia. we are getting ready to start touring and are in need of merchandise to sell while on tour to keep us going on the road.

7 different artists will be chosen out of all that apply based on their designs.
