Due to growth, we now have an opening for a full-time QC Technician on 2nd shift (M-F, 3pm-11:30pm).  In this role, you will be responsible for conducting quality control testing on in-process and finished goods.  Testing performed includes UV-Vis spectrophotometry, color-matching, pH analysis, moisture analysis, particle size analysis, and other testing as necessary.  In addition to testing, you will be responsible for making stock solutions of test reagents, general lab housekeeping, washing of glassware, record-keeping, and documentation in accordance to GMP.  This will be a contract-to-hire opportunity.  Training will be the first 4-6 weeks from 10am until 6:30pm.  Afterwards, you will begin working full-time on the 2nd shift. <b>Qualifications:</b> <br>
BS degree in Biological/Physical sciences; <br>
HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) required;  <br>

The hours are Mon - Fri from 6 am - 2:30 pm, however, must be willing to work any shifts and perform all duties of a histotechnician or histotechnologist when required; <br>

<description><![CDATA[A brief list of tasks includes, but is not limited to, the following:<br>
•	Global planning, analysis, and execution of facility maintenance and renovation projects.<br>
•	Negotiation, analysis (both performance and financial), and management of service agreements for laboratory equipment.<br>
•	Negotiation, analysis, and management of capital equipment procurement contracts on equipment.<br>
•	Maintenance of equipment and component inventories<br>
•	Design and implementation of standard operating procedures<br>
•	Management of personnel including performance reviews<br>
•	Training of personnel as needed<br>
•	Management of vendor field service engineers while on site to ensure equipment is serviced properly and safety policies are being followed.<br>
<br>
Education/ Experience Required:<br>
•	5 years prior management experience in a production setting<br>
•	Bachelor’s degree, in a technical field preferred <br>
•	Knowledge of facilities issues and equipment repair in a production environment<br>
<br>
Special Skills Required:<br>
•	Ability to work under pressure and balance many competing priorities. <br>
•	Proficiency in spreadsheet, word-processing, database, and presentation software.<br>
•	Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents including contracts and technical manuals. <br>
•	Ability to make effective presentations on general topics to an internal department, large group of employees, and/or management.<br>
•	Ability to motivate employees to take desired action in a positive manner<br>
•	Knowledge and previous experience negotiating contracts for both services and commodities<br>
•	Ability to efficiently and effectively analyze and resolve problems in a variety of situations requiring advanced analytical and quantitative skills. <br>
•	Ability to assist with Request For Proposal process as needed.<br>
•	Previous field service experience is a plus<br>
