The St. Louis International Film Festival staffs over 300 volunteers each year. Each volunteer receives a commemorative festival t-shirt as well as a complimentary ticket voucher for each shift worked.
Volunteer duties include, but are not limited to, ticket taking, ushering, distributing programs, handing out and collecting ballots, and general housekeeping after films let out.
When selecting your shifts, we do not suggest volunteering to see a specific film. We cannot guarantee that volunteers will be able to sit in on all films, though we do try to accommodate as much as possible.

The Tivoli Theatre, Plaza Frontenac Cinema, Webster University - Winifred Moore Auditorium, The Hi-Pointe Theatre, The St. Louis Art Museum, Washington University - Brown Hall Auditorium
If you're interested in helping with the fest this year, follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Review the schedule grids and determine your preferred venue, date, and time.
Step 2: E-mail Brian (brian@cinemastlouis.org) and let him know your preferences. You'll receive a confirmation reply if your shifts are available.
Step 3: Be sure to include your full name and t-shirt size.
If you are serious about building your resume as much as I am, we will be a great team. I look forward to hearing from you. Professionals and College students with editing experience are all welcome to call me.
Requirements: Professional grade camera (no amateurs). Reliability and consistency should be traits you carry along with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Female actress/model type (20-something years old). (Comedic timing is a must!)
- Several males age 17-45, able to deliver very dry humor.
- Adult men and women, ages unspecific, for serious drama.
- Performers of different ages, races, and looks with a variety of talents (singing, dancing, juggling... surprise me!!) for both speaking and non-speaking roles.
- Two young men, comfortable playing partners in gay relationship, for a serious drama.
There are more roles to be filled, both speaking and non-speaking. Please bring some form of resume.
Auditions are going to be held at two different times. For your convenience, please attend the ONE audition time that best fits your schedule:
- Tuesday, November 3rd beginning at 12:30pm and ending at 3:00 in Main Campus building room 0603 at the Southwestern Illinois College- Belleville College (2500 Carlyle Ave. in Belleville, IL)
- Wednesday, November 4th beginning at 6:30pm and ending at 9:30pm in the Theater at the Southwestern Illinois College-Belleville Campus (same address as above)
You will not be needed for the entire audition time, but please plan on showing up at least one half hour before the end of your audition time block in order to complete necessary forms. Auditions will take place based on order of arrival.
-Grandfather, 70's, who has taken the child into his home.
The role of the Grandfather will be a challenging character piece, so please respond with a resume or reel.
The child's role will require a small amount of moving cues. The ability to "sob" is a plus, otherwise it is a fairly simple role. If you feel your child has what it takes to be an actor, let me know!
This film will take no more than a day to shoot sometime at the end of November.

Must haves include 3+ years experience in the corporate video arena with a proven ability to manage multiple projects including schedules, budgets, crews, and client communications; a working knowledge of all current video editing platforms; motion graphics and their extension onto the Web a must; the ability to write, direct, and produce a video yourself is a definite plus. We shoot each ad with about 8-10 different individuals and submit all videos to the network, and from there they determine who they will use.
Whichever ad they select, the model either lands a contract with the network or get a bonus.
When it comes to our company, the network uses 90% of all the ads we shoot because we select the right individual.

Our requirements include a minimum of 2-3 strobes, TWO professional SLR digital cameras of 10mp or higher, multiple flash cards, extra batteries, a terrific personality and undeniably beautiful images. For videographers, you must have TWO professional 3 CCD chip DVC cameras and proper lighting equipment, extra batteries, wireless mics, tripods, and monopods.
