Red flags to look out for:
🚩Phone number listed at the top of Google in the 'Google Guaranteed' section and not further down in local business listings. These companies are paying $60-$120 every time you click on one of these ads, which gets passed onto you, the consumer.
🚩HUNDREDS or THOUSANDS of fake 5-star Google reviews purchased from review mills.
🚩ALWAYS open 24/7, even on major federal holidays.
🚩Use of underpaid overseas virtual answering services in India, the Philippines, Bangladesh, etc
🚩EXTREMELY low quote or NO quote over the phone. ("We don't know until we see the vehicle")
🚩DOZENS of calls suddenly to your cellphone from several different numbers that aren't the number you dialed.
🚩Delayed response time. Callcenters will lie about their ETA to hook you.
🚩Young, inexperienced technicians in unmarked vehicles, sometimes with out-of-state plates.
🚩Refusal to identify themselves with their full first and last name, or the exact company they work for.
