Small jar - 10 ½” tall, 8 ½” wide at the top flare, 5” wide at the base
Winter seems to be the time for using hurricane vessels in your decorating, NOT to protect your candles during a hurricane but for their versatility. The metal ‘shelf’ inside each jar - completely not flammable - will collect any wax that might spill down from a lit candle; the shelf just lifts up off its
footings on the sides of the glass.
NOTE : Decorative “props” shown in the ad :
the red pillar candles, which have been lit, can be included in the sale if you wish, for no extra charge
but the other props are not included in the sale offering.
Let’s see - how many creative, decorative uses can I come up with by just a little brainstorming.
>>> Seasonal ideas :
> fill one or both with brightly colored dyed Easter eggs
> use small glass ornaments [ I only had the larger gold ones shown on hand ]
> create a. seasonal wonderland with artificial flowers, snow, or small characters of many sorts
> use a small artificial tree, decorated of course !, inside the jar
> combined with any and all sorts of greenery for Christmas or for any occasion
> fill with confetti for [ use at ? ] a New Years party.
> stuff a colorful scarf, or two or three, inside to highlight seasonal or possibly school colors
>>> All purpose
> of course, candles of any sorts. An idea - one large pillar or a cluster of tapers all in one jar; choose candles of just one color or make a creative mix of compatible colors or colors significant to you
> an aquarium - yes - for smaller fish : bettas, gold fish, or other hardy, undemanding fish varieties
> a terrarium with soil, plants, rocks, maybe a ‘pretend’ stream or bride structure
> fill a jar with anything small and colorful - glass beads, colored sand, buttons, ribbons tied in small bows
> dried flowers of any sort, color; possibly “plant” dried flowers in a base of sand or gravel
> a collection of small stones
> invert and use as a cloche over anything you wish to display in a creative way
> as a vessel used for contests where slips of paper are drawn to determine contest winners [ using a hat to draw from is so "20th century' ! ].
OK, I think that’s enough. You will come up with many more ideas on your own, especially for holidays or birthday decorations in your life.
