Two thread racks, multiple spools of thread, and three custom-made dust covers -
ALL FOR $35 which is likely less than half of just the thread alone if purchased new.
People who sew like to have lots and lots of thread on hand for :
Embroidery
Mending
Tailoring
Sew-out Practice
Craft Projects
or just being creative in other ways.
Because of the number of spools and the great lengths of thread on each, one can safely say :
there are MILES AND MILES OF THREAD here.
The first four photos show a footed rack with 10 spools. There is a spring-type guide on the upper part to guide what ever thread[s] you are using on your sewing/embroidery/or serger machines. The user had created a custom dust cover for it, with the first side a very clever depiction of the rack, with a design featuring 10 spools, a fabric tape measure, and a small scissors. There is also a simple booklet on how to assemble the rack [ it came to us in a flat pack but is now fully assembled]. The back side of the cover is plain if you don’t want it to distract you, or your guests, while sewing. This rack is 16 ½” tall and 16” wide.
The next two photos show a tree-like rack with 28 spindles. It also has a custom dust cover, embroidered on just one side. It measures 18” tall and 9” wide at the base.
The last photo shows yet another dust cover with two spools of thread embroidered on it but I have no rack on whick to put it. Want to be creative ? Cut out the embroidered part of the one side and have it framed as a wall hanging for your sewing area or as a gift to a sewing buddy or anyone else who likes custom-crafted art.
