Director of Inventory Management (Moberly, MO)

Orscheln Farm and Home, a steadily growing, privately held retail chain with 165+ stores in the Midwest states, has an immediate opening for Director of Inventory Management in our Moberly, MO headquarters. This individual is responsible for leading the Inventory Planning and Supply Chain Departments, reporting to the Chief Information Officer. This position establishes overall vision for forward buying, allocation and replenishment purchasing, while working closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Store Operations, and Logistics.

Responsibilities: responsible for the successful execution and results of the Inventory Planning and Supply Chain Departments, works with executive management to set inventory goals and executes strategies to meet those goals, ensures sales and margin goals are met, continual review and analysis of inventory levels, including new and promotional merchandise, and sets priorities for best use of inventory investment.

Required Qualifications: solid knowledge in analysis, inventory management software and forecasting techniques, excellent leadership, communication and analytical skills with the ability to manage through change and course direction, and five years’ experience in a similar role.
