Join us at the Overland Community Center, where we will leave you feeling fit and healthy each week. Our classes will improve your balance, tone those hidden muscles, and shed that extra weight in a fun motivating environment. Registration is required for all Overland and Non-Overland Residents. Whether your signing up for a new session or just dropping by to try out the class, our friendly staff will assist you into the right direction without the pressure of hidden monthly fees or signing a contract. So, drop the kids off at school or stop by on your way home from work. Either way, we can help you stay fit when you visit the Overland Community Center today.
Fitness Classes and Programs
*Yoga: Open to all beginners and experienced members, this class will help you increase the blood circulation in the body by utilizing your physical posture. Improve your balance, flexibility, and strength in the body by joining our class today! Meets every Tuesday from 6-7 pm for 7 week sessions. Ages 10 yrs and older are welcomed.
*Zumba: Fusing hypnotic musical rhythms and tantalizing moves to create a dynamic workout system that is fun and easy to do. Burn calories, pump muscles, and watch your body sculpt. Add some Latin flavor dance moves to your life by signing up today! This class meets on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6-7 pm for 7 week sessions. Ages 15 yrs and older are welcome to join.
*Aerobics Combo Combine hi/low aerobics with steps to enhance muscle, strength, endurance and flexibility. This class meets on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:15 -- 10:15 am for 7 week sessions. Ages 15 yrs and older are welcome to join. Please bring your own 2-3lb hand weights to class.
*Sr Fitness This is a co-ed physical fitness class to help increase cardiovascular strength as well as physical and mental well-being. This class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays 10:30 -- 11:30 am for 7 week sessions. Ages 15 yrs and older are welcome to join. Please bring your own 2-3lb hand weights to class.
*Kendo: Kendo is the art of Japanese fencing. This course involves physically and mentally challenging activities that combine strong martial arts values with sport-like physical elements. This class meets on Sundays 3-5 pm and Tuesdays 6-8:30 pm for 8 week sessions. Ages 15 yrs. and older are welcome to join.
*Ab Hour: Ab Hour is a one hour fitness class focused solely on the core of the body. Through different forms of crunches and sit ups at various paces, this hour of ab burning exercises is sure to tighten and flatten your stomach, strengthen your core, increase your heart rate, and burn calories. This class meets on Thursdays 6 -- 7 pm for 7 week sessions. Ages 15 yrs. and older are welcome to join.
