These were purchased in 2001 and 2000, respectively, at stores in Plaza Frontenace. While the shopping center is certainly still there, these two stores, sadly, are no longer there.
The crystal gleams, the lids sparkle, and you will enjoy very much dipping your favorite fountain pen in either one of these two. The burgundy tint of the Waterford inkwell is simply the burgundy-colored ink having sloshed around while I placed it for photography.
Both are in excellent condition - no leaks, no scratches, no defects.
Fountain pens shown are not for sale; they are for illustration and size scale only.
The last two photos show the purchase date and price, the latter of which, of course, was at dollar values of that time, 20+ years ago. If one were to inflate those numbers based on historical CPI increases, the purchase prices in today’s funds would be much higher.
