Louis Vuitton - GENUINE - two Leather Accessory items
The title of this posting might need an amendment : the LV receipt, from an authorized Louis Vuitton store in Las Vegas in 2000 which I refer to below, has its "official" name as "Doc OR CUIR Roller ball pen".
I do not know what the two terms in the middle mean; that is why I omitted them in my 'first-glance' listing, to avoid uncertainty.
PRICING is below, at the end of my information about the pen.
This gorgeous writing instrument bears the prestigious LV mark - there are multiple photos of the pen showing it on the lowest part of the gold cap of the pen right above where the burgundy leather barrel begins.
The pen can utilize both rollerball/gel refills as well as conventional ball points. The detailing on all parts of the pen is unsurpassed - a crisp grid pattern is on the top of the pen where you will also find a strong, well-constructed clip to hold it wherever you want it.
The cap portion screws off the finely-machined threads on the upper end of the lower barrel; the meeting of the top and bottom parts is seamless and almost invisible. There are 24 evenly-spaced, fine gauge gold threads in the leather barrel sheath and they line up perfectly with the clip. The bottom of the barrel has a small cap with the same grid pattern to complete the elegant design of the entire piece.
It is 5 ½” long and about ½” in diameter.
I purchased it at an official LV store in Las Vegas in February of 2000 [ see photo of the receipt *** in the series of images ] and it is still in impeccable, like-new condition. Neither a purchaser for one’s own use nor a recipient of this as a gift, will be able to tell that it is 20 years old.
The photos offered were chosen to illustrate all the aspects of the pen. The second and third last photos are two online screenshots from a well-known East Coast pen store which is re-selling an indentical pre-owned pen for $ 799.
