If it were flat black, for example, in a dark room, it would look like the glass discs were floating.
powered by a halogen tube bulb, which causes the glass discs to glow .
It also has a cool si-fi / flying saucer vibe. I loved it but am in a smaller house now. Got to go.
Speaking as a designer, Perfect use ? : use in TV or media room w/ dimmer or young child's bedroom like a night light
