Anheuser-Busch Collectors Club 1999 Lidded Stein “The Golden Age of Brewing Circa 1898”
The stein takes a look back to 1898, a year in which, amazingly, Anheuser-Busch produced its 500 millionth bottle of Budweiser.
The stein showcases an exceptional collage illustration which captures the look of the late 1800’s, highlighted by the immense Anheuser-Busch brewing complex in St. Louis approximately 100 years ago. At the center is an early A&Eagle logo, along with two renderings of actual Budweiser bottles as they appeared in 1898, complete with their authentic 500 millionth bottle “neck stickers”.
A locomotive and a riverboat, key methods of transporting Budweiser across the U.S. at the time, are featured on each side of the stein. The pewter lid is topped with an early A&Eagle logo, and the thumbrest is an etched eagle, a symbol of Anheuser-Busch.
The historically significant handle represents a famous pocket-knife which was given away as a calling card by Anheuser-Busch founder, Adolphus Busch.
The stein is numbered #00307 – CB10 and is approximately 9” T x 4 3/4” W x 6 3/4” D
