For sale 2013 Ford Explorer Limited AWD with 3.5 V6 engine. Gray metallic exterior, light stone leather interior. Currently has 182,300 miles.
Lots of maintenance/service in the last 5,000 miles:
-Transmission drain and fill with motorcraft mercon LV
-PTU (transfer case) drained and filled with Lucas synthetic oil
-New ford oem rear camera installed
-New motorcraft hvac blower speed control
-New motorcraft battery
-New air filter
-New cabin filter
-New serpentine belt
-New motorcraft spark plugs
-New intake and throttle body gaskets
-Cleaned throttle body
-Engine oil change
The explorer was owned by a family member before me, it had a new water pump installed in the last 2-3 years. Water pump replacement is a large expense on these 3.5 engines and is needed at some point over the life of the car.
Negatives:
-Could use new front strut mount bearings
-Sometimes has the airbag light on, fault B0070
-Keypad for entry with door code not working
-Has exterior flaws: drivers door has dents that could possibly be fixed with pdr, rear reflector is damaged
Has 2 sets of wheels as pictured:
-The polished finish 20” wheels are original (tires about 30% tread)
-The dark finish 20” wheels are from a newer explorer sport model (tires about 50% tread)
Overall it has been a solid car. I tried to fix anything it needed and planned to keep it, but I have 2 other vehicles and it’s not being used much.
Asking price $6500 with both sets of wheels included or $5900 with only the original polished wheels.
