Personal Assistant/Caregiver Chesterfield / West County
We’re looking for someone kind, dependable, and fun to help care for our daughter, who has developmental delays. She’s a sweet, curious kid who loves music, baking cookies, going to the zoo, swimming, shopping, and just being out and about. If you enjoy spending time with kids and want to make a real difference in someone’s life, we’d love to hear from you.
What the job involves:
Helping with daily care and getting around the house
Playing, baking, going for walks, and joining her in activities
Supporting her communication (she uses a speech device and picture symbols — we’ll show you how)
Driving her to speech therapy and other programs
Keeping her schedule and care routines organized
Light housekeeping related to her care: laundry, vacuuming, tidying her play area and bathroom, organizing books and toys
You’d be a great fit if you:
Have experience with kids or individuals with disabilities
Are calm, reliable, and good at keeping things on track
Communicate clearly and enjoy working with families
Are comfortable with basic computer tasks (scheduling, notes, communication apps)
Have reliable transportation (we’re in Chesterfield / West County)
Are open to learning and trying new things
Schedule & Pay:
Weekdays from 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM
Every other weekend (extra $2.50/hr on weekends)
Starting at $21.00/hr, depending on experience
Flexible hours — we’re happy to work with the right person
Family van available for outings and appointments
Opportunities to join her for equestrian therapy and Girl Scouts
