This preamp is considered by many in the High End Audio community to be the equal of or better than most modern preamps.(except for the new car kind of money preamps) If you purchase this preamp we HIGHLY recommend reading the manual in its entirety to be able to use this preamp to the best of its ability. This preamp is much more sophisticated and complicated than most preamps. At this point in time the APT Corporation pieces have reached cult status, if you have ever heard their equipment you would know why.
The Apt Holman preamplifier is highly regarded by audiophiles for its exceptional sound quality, low noise floor, and thoughtful design. Key features include its excellent phono stages for both MM and MC cartridges, a clean headphone amplifier, and unique functions like phase inversion and an "image knob" for stereo imaging adjustment. Many users consider it an underrated and competitive vintage preamp that is still highly relevant today.
