The handy device went to southern Germany in 1964 on my wife's first overseas trip. It stood her in good stead and is still operational today.
It is both a converter to allow your time to safely use different wattages in other countries as well as a plug adapter to allow your plug to fit into overseas sockets. The larger rectangular device in the fifth photos is for hi wattage settings, up to 1,650 watts, often found on appliances/devices using power, especially ones which heat.
It is in excellent condition, having plug adapters for the four major plug types extant in the world today [ photo 4 ]. The original instruction / information pamphlet is included in the sale.
For traveling overseas there are websites showing which adapter is used in each country. Google > whatplug.info <.
Its case snaps shut and re-opens easily, measures 5” wide, 3 ¾ “ front to back, and 2 ¼” deep.
