Terrific Christmas present!!
Start with a 16 channel Mackie 1604 VLZ pro mixer, feed it to a QSC MX700 225 W per channel into 4 ohm amp, driving a set of Dawn PS512 speakers. An SKB mixer case perfectly holds the Mackie mixer with plenty of rack space below. 2 25' cables connect the sub to the amp and 2 50' cables connect the sub to the satellite speakers. The amp case has room to store the cables.
The speakers have a terrific 180 deg dispersion making it unnecessary to have monitors!
Excellent sound!
I also have lots of mic stands, mics, cables, amp stands, etc if you need more stuff
