We bought this set some years ago. The table has always been covered. it or the buffet has NEVER had a spill on it. Always protected. If it has any scratches or flaws it would be minor.
Set (has) always only been used for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners, never everyday.
This set is for a large elegant home, which we no longer have. The price is positively right.
To not lose it's perfect condition it is recommended to use a professional mover.
(bowed & beveled glass can be very expensive to replace or find correction for damage.)
