Dandy came to Longmeadow malnourished and severely underweight. It took her a long time to learn that she could trust our groundwork team and staff. She did not have much experience with being handled and dreaded farrier days. After lots of patience and work, Dandy started to turn around. During her rehabilitation process and with every pound she gained, she would gain a little bit of confidence as well. Although she is still working on her groundwork skills, Dandy is now healthy and continuing to gain confidence.

Dandy would do best with an adopter looking for a horse for a lower impact career, as her confirmation wouldn’t make her a barrel horse or jumper. Dandy has lots of potential and will require someone with the patience and time to work with her and make her the best horse she can be. Dandy is a quick learner when focused and at this time she will require an advanced handler and rider. She will greatly benefit from additional professional training. Dandy stands approximately 13.2 hands.
