Be patient on a response back through email only. 1986 Ford F8000 dump truck, which starts and runs well. It sat all last and this winter and started in the spring and October this year pretty much instantly (idle might surge a bit) Engine is a 8.2 Detroit diesel. Transmission is a manual with high and low range rear axle. The inside of the bed is 9 foot long. I used it fall of 2024, just to move some dirt, I never personally drove this on the road. It doesn't have plates or insurance on it. Shows 128,xxx miles. Selling as is, no battery, but I can temporarily put one in it just to test things out and to load on a trailer. I didn't hear why, but it's running fuel out of a 2-1/2-gallon jug and inline electric fuel pump, stock tank has fuel in it, I assume either the fuel is old, or the pickup tube has issues. The brake warning light seems to come on and off ever so often, brakes are either weak or touchy (hydraulic). The axle shafts were/ are leaking and will probably need new gaskets. There is paperwork in the glove box that it had an inspection in 2017 and passed. There are also some receipts from jobs it did in 2018 but that doesn't mean that's the last time it was on the road. If I read them correctly the truck weighs in the 12,500-12,600 range. I didn't really look over the truck super well so it could have more issues but, it starts, runs, drives, and dumps that was enough for me to buy it. The lock for the gate is super stiff, I got it unlocked and just left it that way. The gate around those pins is wore and is rusted out. The truck was delivered to me, and they drove it about 9 miles and said it didn't have any issues getting here, that it ran well but the brakes weren't to good. Bed floor will hold rainwater. Tires hold air, doors close good, engine starts and runs good, antifreeze looks good so does the engine oil. It does have a power steering and hydraulic oil leak so oil will have to be added for both to work. Highly recommend trailering it. I don't want to part it out, but engine and transmission are good so is the bed. It does have a title, but it has issues of someone signing it as new owner and not turning it in. Possibly just an off-road only truck or part it out but could be back on the road. Will consider trades. F800 l8000 I usually only check email once a day but not on weekends. Cash only.
