Sterling HARDWARE John Sterling Corporation MADE IN USA

Model: 1175 White (ALTHOUGH THE COMPANY CALLS THEM WHITE, THEY ARE MORE OF A GRAY)
5-Bar Max Guard.
21" Tall, Adjusts from 24" - 42" Wide

You will be responsible to know your local building code to ensure that you are in compliance.
For instance: Some building codes call for 1-way screws. The screws included are NOT 1-way screws.
So, IF your code requires 1-way screws you will need to purchase them at your local hardware store
OR drill out the slots on the screws after they have been installed.
Some codes require an upper window stop to keep the bottom of the window from being 4-1/2" or more from the top of the bars. So, IF you install these bars 4-1/2" from the bottom sill and your bottom sash is more than 26" tall, you may need to install a stop.

Protect children from window falls
• NEVER leave a child alone in a room where there are open windows that do not have window guards.
• If your window guards aren’t installed yet, keep your bottom windows closed. Open only your top windows for fresh air.
• Keep furniture that children can climb on away from all windows.
• NEVER let a child play:
• On a fire escape
• On a roof
• In halls with windows that do not have window guards
• Near elevator shafts
• Near steps or stairs
  • do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers
