Older journeyman bass player, currently in an established, working band.
Excellent at following and a quick learner. Good ear for harmony and backing vocals. Classic rock, rockabilly, classic country, country-rock, blues and southern gospel. Also play rhythm guitar and can write charts in notation, numbers, and chord symbols.
First-rate equipment - electric and upright basses and a variety of amplifiers/cabs.
Considering moving from my current position of several years. I have no issues here other than I would like to be playing fewer gigs; no more than twice a month. Looking to travel no more than 20 miles or so from home.
Sorry, but I'm not interested at all in starting a new band, I've done enough of that.
Of significant importance: I don't want to be the leader, but I am looking for a democratic band where everyone has equal input (something I truly miss).
No drugs, tobacco or hard booze and no drama. I will go the extra mile to get along with everyone. The only attitude I take on stage with me is a smile and a laugh.
