Both St. Vincent De Paul & Salvation Army have trucks that will pick up items from your house. Just give them about 2 weeks to pick your donations up. Why? The St Vincent de Paul charities helped my mom & dad & me & my brother by giving my dad a job at the ST. Vincent de Paul store on Forest Park Avenue in West St. Louis city way back in the 1950s. Salvation Army gave my dad a place to stay when he was homeless. I did not know he was homeless in the 1970s. I found out & moved my dad in with my wife & I. My dad lived in St. Louis City & I lived in Arnold Missouri & my dad did not have my phone number. Organizations that helped me & my family deserve my & your support. I volunteered for the Red Cross up till 1996. Because, in 1996 my faith in the Red Cross was shattered. Gay militants in the California Red Cross purposefully put HIV in the Red Cross's blood supply. The wife of US senator Al Gore then took over the national Red Cross.. No one was prosecuted for putting HIV infected blood into the Red Cross blood supplies. At the site of the Sept 11th attacks in New York City, the Red Cross took credit for the work of other charities & got money because of that false reporting from the US gov't. Then again earlier this century, Red Cross put blue plastic tarps on hurricane ravaged houses in Haiti I believe but charged the US gov't for putting roofs on houses. The Red Cross has done many more evil things that do not make it to the national or even local news casts. In my humble opinion, he Red Cross broke our trust & does not need to be supported.
