Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer / Da Science Librarian to manage and optimize dabases supporting GEOINT product disseminion and to process expurgion requests for distributing discrete geospial product packages to internal and foreign partners. This role is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and ensuring the accuracy of spial content dabases—including country and ste boundary generion—using NGA tools, ESRI ArcGIS, and reled technologies. The ideal candide brings strong experience in coding/script development, dabase management, geospial components, and software engineering to ensure seamless da integrity, automion, and efficient disseminion.

This position requires a highly collaborive professional capable of working across multiple offices, maintaining and enhancing ingest and validion scripts, and supporting end‑to‑end software operions reled to GEOINT product disseminion. Experience opering across multiple security domains is highly desirable. The role also demands strong public‑speaking skills and the ability to represent the organizion in customer‑facing technical discussions and stakeholder engagements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Dabase Management & Spial Content Generion

• Manage and maintain dabases supporting GEOINT product disseminion, including spial content and country/ste boundary generion.
• Develop, optimize, and enhance da ingest and validion scripts, stored procedures, and code to ensure accuracy and efficient processing.
• Integre and optimize geospial components such as Oracle Spial, ArcSDE, and SDO_Geometry to improve da integrity and visualizion.
• Utilize Unix/Linux commands and file systems; write shell scripts, cron jobs, and manage file/folder permissions.

Software Engineering & Automion

• Maintain and enhance Perl scripts, Java and Python code packages, and dabase constructs to improve automion and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain schemas, stored procedures, and validion tools to ensure reliable GEOINT product integrion.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software and dabase issues reled to content disseminion, ensuring high availability and da integrity.
• Render maps in ESRI ArcGIS using da queries and apply layers within the mapping environment.

Collaborion & Cross‑Domain Support

• Work across multiple offices and security domains (NIPRnet/Xenon, SIPRnet, JWICS) to ensure secure and seamless da integrion.
• Engage with stakeholders, product owners, and da users to optimize da structuring, usability, and distribution.
• Support end‑to‑end operions for software and dabase systems reled to GEOINT product disseminion.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer briefings and technical discussions.

Public Speaking & Customer Engagement

• Develop and deliver presentions, briefings, and reports to customers, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
• Represent the organizion confidently in customer‑facing engagements, communicing technical concepts effectively.
• Facilite knowledge‑sharing sessions and training for internal and external stakeholders.

Basic Qualificions:.

• Bachelors degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 +years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctore in technical domain.
• Top Secret Clearance to be considered and ability to obtain post hire a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• 5+ years of experience designing and supporting dabases.
• Strong experience with one or more of the following: Perl scripts, Python/Java code packages, SQL queries, C++ code, dabase constructs, schemas, and stored procedures.
• Strong knowledge of dabase management with geospial components.
• Proven ability to optimize and autome da ingest, validion, and disseminion workflows.
• Understanding of cross‑domain da management and security protocols (NIPRnet/Xenon, SIPRnet, JWICS).
• Strong public‑speaking skills and experience delivering technical briefings.
• Security+ certificion.
• Ability to engage across multiple offices to ensure dabase alignment with GEOINT product requirements.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex software and dabase issues.
• Excellent communicion and collaborion skills within cross‑functional teams.
• Comfortable speaking with customers and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency.
• Understanding of da integrity, validion concepts, and da‑sharing agreements.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management structures.

Preferred Qualificions:

• Experience working in government, defense, or intelligence environments.
• Familiarity with cloud and on‑prem GIS/GEOINT dabase solutions.
• Competency in ESRI ArcGIS for querying spial da and applying multiple map layers.
• Experience supporting software operions and maintenance for GEOINT content expurgion/disseminion.
• Knowledge of automion frameworks and DevSecOps best practices.
• Certificions in Dabase Management, GIS, or Software Engineering.
• Prior experience leading technical discussions and customer briefings.
