Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto-body repair, with experience in various aspects of automotive repair. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. The Auto Body Technician will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties
• Perform auto body repairs including collision repair, frame straightening, and panel replacement
• Utilize MIG welding techniques for structural repairs and fabrication tasks
• Conduct vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance
• Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment for various repair processes
• Execute sheet metal work including cutting, shaping, and installation
• Engage in auto restoration projects as needed, ensuring high-quality finishes
• Carry out detailing tasks to enhance the appearance of vehicles post-repair
• Assist with auto glass replacement and repairs as required
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines
• Prepare auto estimates for repair costs based on damage assessments
Experience
• Previous experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Proficiency in mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems and components
• Familiarity with automotive repair techniques including welding, soldering, assembly, and airless paint spraying
• Experience in heavy lifting as required during vehicle repairs and restorations
• Knowledge of auto painting processes to ensure quality finishes on repaired vehicles
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results in all aspects of work
